Ever since I was young, finding the perfect way to represent the emotion, texture, and unique features of my environment has been my passion. I'm constantly trying to break those moments down visually.
What medium would I use? Which colours? How would I encapsulate the entire personality of my best friend's pet iguana in acrylic paint?
While it may feel haphazard, every stroke I make is set with purpose to invoke the unique personality and mood of the subject.

How Do Commisions work?
Please first view my work throughout the site, and on Instagram to make sure my art fits your vision! If you're ready, the Contact Me page is where you can open up an email conversation with me about what kind of work you're wanting done. We then can chat about the medium, pricing, and the estimated time of completion. After an agreement has been made, you'll receive an email with a commission contract confirming the details of your order.
Throughout the entire process, I will send you progress photos to make sure the composition and direction feels right to you. Never feel like you can't tell me your thoughts or opinions, commissions are always an open conversation! With your permission, I also may stream my process over Twitch in real time where you are welcome to watch and chat with me! Once everything is finalized and you're happy with the result we've created together, you'll then make your final payment and we can move into shipping or delivery!
I offer high resolution prints of all works done in specific sizes.
For an added fee, I will send the original file to you so it can be printed at a shop of your choosing where you have more freedom with the size and shape of your print.
How does payment work?
The time it takes to complete a piece can vary based on the scale and medium of the project. Price is based on each individual piece, and is paid in two installments - a 50% deposit at the beginning of your order, and the rest when we've decided it's finished and you are completely satisfied. An order begins officially once the emailed commission contract has been singed and the initial deposit has been paid.
What if I'm not 100% satisfied?
The client and I are in constant communication to avoid any dissatisfaction, however after a piece is finalized you are not obligated to purchase the painting if in the end you decide it's not right for you. The deposit made at the start of your order can be used towards future commissions or as credit toward any prints you might buy, but is otherwise nonrefundable. Remember to vocalize your needs when working closely on a commission with any artist! We may seem like magic, but our abilities are limited to create and are definitely not mind readers.
Please note that while the commissioner has the right to display the artwork in their home or business, Ashe Gonzalez retains all rights to the artwork.
